Nous proposons ici un essai sur la situation de l’anthropologie sociale argentine contemporaine. En utilisant une matrice analytique comprenant trois dimensions (l’élaboration théorique, le contexte de production et les conditions socioculturelles), nous tenterons de rendre compte de la constitution du champ intellectuel anthropologique. D’une manière générale, nous nous interrogeons sur l’existence (ou non) d’un « style » anthropologique social en Argentine, sur le niveau de structuration de cette communauté, sur le type d’échanges avec les communautés latino-américaines et mondiales.

This text is an essay on the contemporary situation of Argentinian social anthropology. By using an analytical matrix with three dimensions (theoretical elaboration, context of production and socio-cultural conditions), we will attempt to analyse the constitution of the anthropological intellectual field. We will examine the existence (or not) of a specific “style” of social anthropology in Argentina, the level of structuration of this community, and the type of exchanges which exist with Latin-American and global communities.
