Se establece una relación entre los Pontilieni, cuyo nombre aparece en los lingotes de plomo de Carthago Nova, y que estaban inscritos en la tribu Fabia, con la Pontulena Casta de un sarcófago de Ascoli Piceno. Estudio del origen del gentilicio y de los escasos Pontilieni/Pontuleni conocidos. Se hacen algunas consideraciones sobre los Lollii picenos y también sobre las relaciones de Carthago Nova con el Adriático.

This paper relates the Pontilieni, whose name appears on the lead lingots coming from Carthago Nova, and who were inscribed in the Fabia tribe, with the Pontulena Casta of a sarcophagus from Ascoli Piceno. It is a study of the origin of this family name and of the few Pontilieni/Pontuleni known by epigrahy. Some thoughts about the Picene Lollii and also about the relations of Carthago Nova with the Adriatic are given.
