Su una piccola sfera di bronzo si legge il nome di una famiglia di Megara Iblea ; non si conosce l’esatto luogo di rinvenimento, ma la grafia è certamente locale e precedente l’abbandono della città (483 a.C.). L’epigrafe, indicando il possessore dell’oggetto quale membro dei Theodoridai, gli consentiva di partecipare alla vita pubblica della città, perciò può essere paragonata ad iscrizioni affini incise su supporti diversi.

Onto the surface of a little bronze sphere we can read the name of a family coming from Megara Hyblea. We do not know the exact place of its finding, but the handwriting is undoubtedly local and dates before the evacuation of the town. The inscription, classifying the owner of this object as a member of the Theodoridai, allowed him to take part in the public life of the town, and therefore, it can be compared with other similar inscriptions inscribed onto different materials.
