Les techniques de soins employées par la naturopathie actuelle française sont en tous points similaires à celles promues par la Naturheilkunde allemande, ce qui laisserait croire à une continuité linéaire entre l’idéologie de la Lebensreform, émergeant en Allemagne à la fin du xixe siècle et cette approche thérapeutique contemporaine. Or, cet héritage s’exprime également à travers la similitude d’un mode de changement social, fondé sur la réforme du mode de vie individuel suscitant une modalité d’action politique, inscrite ici dans l’écologie politique.

Die von der heutigen französischen „Naturopathie“ angewandten Pflegetechniken stimmen ausnahmslos mit jenen Konzepten/ Techniken überein, die von der deutschen Naturheilkunde unterstützt werden. Entsprechend kann von einer linearen Kontinuität zwischen der Ideologie der Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts entstandenen Lebensreform und des zeitgenössischen Therapieansatzes ausgegangen werden. Dieses historische Erbe drückt sich durch vergleichbare soziale Veränderungen aus, die in der Veränderung der individuellen Lebensweise begründet sind und ökologische politische Aktionen produzieren.

The technical acts of French contemporary naturopathy are entirely similar with those promoted by German Naturheilkunde. This observation might suggest that there is a linear continuity between the Lebensreform ideology that emerged in Germany at the end of the 19th century and this contemporary therapy. Nevertheless, this heritage also expresses itself through the similarity of a mode of social changes triggering a form of political action that belongs to the realm of political ecology.
