In this book, which is an edited version of Paolo Cimadomo’s doctoral dissertation (University of Naples “Federico II”, 2017), the author seeks to examine the Southern Levant during the two first centuries of Roman domination. The Southern Levant, which for most authors extends from the border between Lebanon and Israel, in the North, and to Gaza, in the South, is narrowed down by the author, without explanation, to a much smaller region.
