Tel semble être le cas pour un réseau franco-suisse de « collapsologues » qui anticipent non pas la fin du monde mais la fin d’un monde ouvrant sur une nouvelle civilisation. Ils insistent sur la nécessité de mener une transformation intérieure, au croisement de l’écologie et des spiritualités alternatives, en explorant des pratiques de reconnexion à soi, au vivant et à la Terre associées au New Age. Cette écologie spirituelle peut en effet être interprétée comme une résurgence apocalyptique de ce courant, dont la dimension millénariste était présente dès l’origine.

Can catastrophism born of ecological issues be conceived as apocalyptic? This seems to be the case for a French-Swiss network of “collapsologists” who anticipate not the end of the world, but the end of a world giving way to a new civilisation. They stress the need to undergo an inner transformation, at the intersection of ecology and alternative spiritualities, exploring New Age practices for reconnecting with oneself, with the living, and with the Earth.
