The editors of this carefully thought out work, published on the occasion of the twenty years of the Cultural Association for Travel in Switzerland, invited twenty-six authors to speak about travel guide books, seen in the broadest sense: "old and recent, literary or scientific, with or without text, from here or elsewhere” (p. 16).
