Résumé 0

The aim of this article is to reflect on the model of tourist-oriented world heritage in the context of sustainable development. The Central African project of Dzanga-Sangha in the South-West of the Central African Republic is the framework of this analysis. The development, through ecotourism, of spaces classified as World Heritage sites for the wealth of their biodiversity and the intangible culture of the Pygmies associated with the forest shows a certain number of limits, linked namely to the type of governance of this project. For the processes of development and of the management of the cultural and natural heritage to be sustainable, they should, for example, take care to better ensure the participation of local communities as a whole.
