Literature review on dispersal in salmonids

This dataset gathers 310 original research studies from a review of the literature on dispersal in salmonids (Atlantic salmon, Coho salmon, Chum salmon, Pink salmon, Sockeye salmon, Chinook salmon, Steelhead trout, and Brown trout). Beside the reference of each study, this table describes for each species the type of studies (modeling or empirical approach, providing dispersal / gene flow estimates or not), the method used (genetic or tagging), and whether estimates are based on wild or hatchery fish. Finally, for studies providing estimates on wild populations, the database indicates the values of estimated rates, their type (donor/ receiving rate or gene flow), individual or population factors identified as potential drivers of dispersal, and whether the implications of dispersal are discussed from a conservation or management perspective.
