Aquatic macroinvertebrate abundance in French experimental polyculture fishponds

The dataset contains abundances of aquatic macroinvertebrates measured in six freshwater fishponds in France during the SEPURE project « New strategies to build and manage fish pond systems for a sustainable fish farming » (FEAMP measure 47; 2019). Macroinvertebrates were sampled from March to October 2021 along the banks and in the deep-water zone of each pond. From these abundances, dry biomass and productivity were calculated. The dataset consists of eight sheets: Raw abundance of macroinvertebrates identified to the lowest taxon possible. Stage and size class are also noted. Individual dry biomass per taxon in 8, 4, 2, 1 and 0.5 mm sieves. Weighted dry biomass per sieve per pond. Temperature every 10 minutes at two depths from March to October 2021. Productivity (mg/d) per taxon per sieve for each month of sampling in each pond. Experimental design of the project.
