Résumé
Recent archaeological studies have revealed various kurgan sites in NW Iran. These burials are attributed to the Indo-European speaking people, whose arrival corresponds with major changes in the local material culture dating to the Chalcolithic to Iron Age. Apart from their prominent structures, recent archaeological excavations yielded remarkable material as well as burial traditions/rites associated with these kurgans.
