Cécile Armand is a postdoctoral research fellow in the ENP-China Project (ERC Advanced grant). She received her Ph.D. in 2017 at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon and was affiliated with the DH-Asia Program at Stanford University (2017-18). She studied the history of advertising in Shanghai in the first half of the 20th century, through the lens of spatial history.
