The OECD recently underlined the strong negative impact of the COVID-19 on the economies of Central Asia. Although COVID-19 arrived relatively late in the region, the number of cases has increased drastically since then. Facing the pandemic is a challenge in countries where budgets are limited, health systems underfunded and many people do not have access to basic care.
