Du royaume de Lothaire II à l’apprition des premières frontières étatiques modernes, l’espace rhéno-mosan fut une zone tangente entre deux grandes aires linguistiques et culturelles. Tensions politiques, courants artistiques et renouveaux spirituels ont continuellement marqué ce vaste territoire d’Utrecht à Bâle, de Cambrai à Cologne et Strasbourg. Après un premier colloque organisé en avril 2022 à l’Université de Trèves, cette deuxième rencontre pluridisciplinaire se donne pour objectif de réunir les doctorants et post-doctorants travaillant sur ce territoire autour de la thématique des mobilités et des échanges.

Vom Regnum Lotharii bis zum Auftreten der ersten frühneuzeitlichen Staatsgrenzen war die Region zwischen Rhein und Maas eine Berührungszone zwischen zwei großen Sprach- und Kulturräumen. Politische Spannungen, künstlerische Strömungen und spirituelle Reformbewegungen haben dieses weitläufige Gebiet von Utrecht bis Basel, von Cambrai bis Köln und Straßburg fortlaufend geprägt. Nach einer ersten Tagung, die im April 2022 an der Universität Trier stattfand, hat sich dieses zweite interdisziplinäre Treffen zum Ziel gesetzt, Nachwuchswissenschaftler/innen (Promovierende und Postdocs), die sich mit diesem Gebiet auseinandersetzen, zum Thema Mobilität und Austausch zusammenzubringen.

Throughout the Middle Ages, from the kingdom of Lothar II to the creation of the first modern state boundaries, the region of the Rhine and Meuse lay at the crossroads between two big linguistic and cultural areas. Political tensions, artistic currents and waves of spiritual renewal continually crossed this vast territory, stretching from Utrecht to Basel and from Cambrai to Cologne and Strasbourg. After a first conference organized in April 2022 at the University of Trier, this second multidisciplinary encounter aims to bring together PhD students and post-doctoral researchers working on mobility and interactions in this region.
