The 5th international congress “Sport, doping and society” is organized by the Spanish Agency for Health Protection in Sport (AEPSAD) and the Technical University of Madrid (UPM). Under the theme “Think Clean”, there will be presented the results of scientific researches and new methodologies in the field of doping in sport from the specific perspective of Human and Social Sciences. We believe that this initiative will contribute to identify the factors that influence the use of doping substances and methods. From this knowledge we hope to foster future prevention and doping control and to promote ethical behavior in sport.

El V Congreso Internacional «Deporte, Dopaje y Sociedad» está organizado conjuntamente por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y la Agencia Española de Protección de la Salud en el Deporte. Bajo el lema Think Clean, se pretende la puesta en común de resultados de investigaciones científicas y nuevas metodologías en el ámbito del dopaje en el deporte. Desde la perspectiva específica de las ciencias humanas y sociales, creemos que esta iniciativa permitirá conocer los factores que inciden en la utilización de métodos y sustancias dopantes. A partir de este conocimiento esperamos fomentar futuras acciones de prevención y control del dopaje y promover comportamientos éticos en el deporte.
