Our research on so-called “crimes of passion”, a socio-clinical study of 32 Criminal Court cases, explicitly points out that a large number of men convicted of murdering their partner have both previously engaged in domestic violence and called for help in one way or another. We thus understand the stakes for the prevention of domestic violence recidivism. In this regard, today in Saint Etienne, an experimental support group for perpetrators, who are the object of a legal complaint, is being conducted with the help of the prosecutor with the aim of preventing recidivism.
