Malgré son œuvre considérable, la philosophe Sarah Kofman peine aujourd’hui encore à trouver reconnaissance. L’auteure souhaite montrer comment le travail singulier de lecture, d’écriture et de dessin de Kofman était porté par l’exigence d’une parole et d’un regard qui ouvrent à la fois à la différence et à la proximité avec l’autre ainsi qu’à la transformation de soi. Elle s’interroge à savoir si cette « éthique de la lecture » n’est pas la caractéristique distinctive d’une pratique féminine de la philosophie.

Author of an impressive body of work, Sarah Kofman still lacks recognition. This essay reflects on Kofman’s singular approach to reading, writing and drawing and asks whether this is her manner of passing on the silent exhortation of a language and a gaze that open up both to the difference and proximity with the other, and to self-transformation. It thus raises the question whether this « ethic of reading » is not the distinctive characteristic of a feminine practice of philosophy.

Autora de una obra considerable, la filósofa Sarah Kofman aún lucha por encontrar reconocimiento. Nuestro estudio tiene como objetivo mostrar cómo su singular trabajo de lectura, escritura y dibujo fue llevado por el requisito de una palabra y una mirada que se abre tanto a la diferencia como a la proximidad entre sí, así como a la transformación de uno mismo. Nos preguntaremos si esta « ética de la lectura » no sería la característica distintiva de una práctica femenina de la filosofía.
