Résumé 0

This article presents an empirical study that focuses on adult learners’ self-regulatory strategies. Specifically, it questions two learning strategies, i.e., “seeking information” and “seeking social assistance” (Zimmerman and Pons, 1986). It seeks to identify and describe how learners seek help during online training sessions. The study is based on an adult training program aimed at professional integration into the digital field. Drawing on 23 semi-structured interviews collected from learners, the findings highlight the diverse ways in which these learners request for help. The results show that these learners are guided by specific rules which they use to determine the source of aid best suited to their needs according to the context in which this help is sought.
