"The Experience of Creation in Chinese Art" proposes a journey into the practice of artistic creation in Chinese painting, based on the study of two representative cases, one from the modern period, the other from the contemporary period. In practice, creation is conceived as the result of the union of the heart and the hand. After a brief definition of the terms designating "creation" in Chinese, the case of Gao Qipei (1660-1734), a scholar painter and high official who invented finger and hand painting, abandoning all decorum in the act of painting, is first presented. The work and pictorial theory of Wu Guanzhong (1919-2010), an internationally renowned Chinese painter from the end of the twentieth century, are then studied, since he proposes "happiness in the heart" as the essential driving force for creation.

« L’expérience de la création dans l’art chinois » propose un cheminement dans la pratique de la création artistique dans la peinture chinoise, à partir de l’examen de deux cas représentatifs, l’un de la modernité, l’autre de la période contemporaine. Dans la pratique, la création est conçue comme le résultat de l’union du cœur et de la main. Après une rapide définition des termes désignant la « création » en chinois, est d’abord présenté le cas de Gao Qipei (1660-1734), peintre lettré et haut fonctionnaire qui inventa la peinture aux doigts et à la main, abandonnant tout décorum dans l’acte de peindre.
