Résumé En

The recent discoveries of Baldenheim helmets (second half of the 5th century-second half of the 6th century AD) in the Dnieper region, as well as in the Oka region, testify to the spread of prestigious weapons in Eastern Europe, in the area of the Slavs and the Finns. Given the historical situation at that time, it seems more logical to assume that these helmets had a Balkan-Danubian origin. Obviously, in Eastern Europe, these helmets belong to the ruling warrior elites. It is quite possible that the Baldenheim helmets fell into the hands of the Barbarians as a result of the Danubian and Balkan wars of the 6th century against the Eastern Roman Empire.
