Résumé
The war in Ukraine has revitalized NATO, while at the same time pushing the European Union to invest beyond the limited areas covered by the Common Security and Defense Policy since the turn of the century. A new partnership between the Alliance and the EU is undoubtedly necessary. However, it can only be based on the development of European capabilities and a direct agreement with Washington, abandoning the implausible idea of a “European pillar of the Alliance.”
