Résumé 0

‪This article examines the depoliticising mechanisms used by publicly funded campaigns launched by Gaullist actors in the early years of the Fifth Republic to encourage people to vote. Although the protagonists of these campaigns claimed to be apolitical, their attempts to impose depoliticised interpretations of voting and non-voting came up against both the risk of emptying voting of its stakes and growing criticism of the Gaullist instrumentalisation of elections and referendums.‪
