Philippe Spoljar, « Aurélia ou le Rêve et la Vie by Gérard de Nerval : The Mother Figure in a Frenzy of Filiations », Le Divan familial, ID : 10670/1.08da99...
Aurelia or the Dream and the Life, of G. de Nerval, is a poetic-clinical narrative telling the tragic evolution of a frenzy of filiations which problematise a fathomless maternal mourning. The author tries to metaphorise the hallucinatory space of his “dream” in the transformative narrative and poetically in a Fate. He reconstructs in fantasy its own foundation which is a native world where the image of an absolute Mother is made equivalent to the Whole, what will also mark the time of his meeting with his death.
