Résumé 0

While globalization was already slowing in 2018 and 2019 – decrease in global exports and foreign direct investment flows, plateauing and slowing of global GDP growth – the 2020 and 2021 health crisis is intensifying this trend, though we remain unable to tell if “deglobalization” lies ahead. But the major players in this globalization, the multinational corporations, are relying on their supply chains – anchored in tax havens – to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the present difficulties of globalization, engaging in industrial site closures, corporate restructuring, divestments and corporate acquisitions to further consolidate their dominance and improve profitability.
