Résumé 0

Éric Marty begins his latest book by saying that “gender is the latest great ideological message sent from the West to the rest of the world”. He then brilliantly demonstrates that this message is a return to sender of what was known in the USA as the “French Theory”. This plague was essentially the makeshift work of French philosophers on Lacanian psychoanalysis, addressed to sexual liberation movements found on campus. The plague has come back to us through the Butlerian gender, of which we are encumbered. The Judith of gender no longer speaks. She is elsewhere, in the intersectional DIY with which she hopes to re-enchant politics.I will examine some consequences of the predicament of psychoanalysts around the most logical consequence of the introduction of gender. There is the transsexual reaction to the paradigm trans proposed by the queerisation of gender. Who to believe? The transsexuals or the trans, the radical feminists or the queer feminists? Psychoanalysts are completely baffled. There are those who wish to join with Preciado, the new Antoinette Fouque, in the trans crusade, and others who think he has thrown Lacanian sexuation too quickly out with the testosterone of the bathwater. The stakes are high. Jacques-Alain Miller reveals this. The victim competition from communities of jouissance now wants to reduce psychoanalysts to the silence of non-interpretation in the name of respect for trauma. How then to interpret in the time of auto-determination in the choice of gender?
