L’article propose une lecture comparative, intertextuelle et complémentaire des variations du sujet du peintre dans le roman latino-américain contemporain à travers deux exemples: Le Tunnel d’Ernesto Sábato et Marelle de Julio Cortázar. La variation dans le cas de Sábato analyse le regard descriptif et critique du peintre Castel de son œuvre Maternité en fonction de sa relation avec María Iribarne. La variation chez Cortázar examine la nature de la création et l’acte créatif concret pour Étienne, le personnage du peintre.

This article provides a comparative, intertextual and complementary analysis of the variations of the subject of the painter in contemporary Latin American novel through two examples: The tunnel of Ernesto Sabato and Hopscotch of Julio Cortázar. The variation in the case of Sabato analyzes the descriptive and critical view of painter Castel on his work Maternity. The variation in Cortázar examines the meaning of the creation and the concrete creative act for Etienne, the character of the painter.
