The aim of this study is to examine the Olympic Stadium in all its multiple dimensions. First of all, this building is one of the strong symbols of the Games, since during the fortnight of the Olympiad, it is the scene of the opening and closing ceremonies and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron, as well as being the stadium for athletics, football and rugby during the Games. The stadium's architectural style and name make it stand out from the rest, integrating it into the heart of the region. Finally, it is also at the heart of the post-Games legacy, in terms of spatial planning, financial costs and sustainability.

L’objet de cet article est d’étudier le stade olympique sous ses multiples dimensions. Tout d’abord, cet édifice est un des symboles forts des Jeux puisque durant la quinzaine de jours de l’Olympiade, c’est le théâtre de la cérémonie d’ouverture et de clôture, de l’allumage de la vasque olympique, mais aussi le stade d’athlétisme, de football et de rugby durant les Jeux. Par ailleurs, cette infrastructure sportive se distingue par son style architectural et sadénomination, qui l’intègre au coeur de son territoire. Enfin, il est également au coeur de l’héritage post-JO, en termes d’aménagement du territoire, de coût financer et de durabilité.
