In this paper, we present a part of a thesis on a professional master in Teaching of Mathematics, completed by the first author under the supervision of the other two, which aimed to investigate how pedagogical workshops with teachers can develop in the acquisition of visual abilities about concepts geometric. Through a qualitative study conducted with eight teachers, all with a background in Pedagogy, five with master in education, all working in a public school in Rio Grande do Sul, were develop activities involving abilities such as visual discrimination, visual memory and perception of figures on field. We conclude that it is possible to develop this with teachers in the first years of elementary school.
