Lucrecia Martel's filmography is exemplary of the subjective turn that occurred in the Argentine film industry from the second half of the 1990s. Her first feature film, TheSwamp (2000) puts into question the model of institutional representation (Mri, Noël Burch) and breaks with several narrative and aesthetic canons to open up the spectators' horizon, because this film demands the participation of all the senses. Lucrecia Martel's work aims to widen our perception fixed in the consensual mimetic illusion of hegemonic cinema. The filmmaker gives a place to the subaltern bodies and a speech that go beyond the visual. This paper aims to study the modalities of this new configuration of the subjectivity that gives the other, the subaltern, an authorial identity.

El corpus cinematográfico de la cineasta salteña Lucrecia Martel es ejemplar del giro subjetivo que se dio en el audiovisual argentino a partir de la segunda mitad de los años 90. Su primer largo de ficción, La ciénaga (2000) pone en tela de juicio el modelo de representación institucional (Mri, Noël Burch) y se desprende de varios cánones narrativos yestéticos para abrir el horizonte de los espectadores, de los que se requiere una participación de todos los sentidos. La obra deLucrecia Martel pretende ensanchar nuestra percepción estancada en la consensual ilusión mimética del cine hegemónico y para ello la cineasta les otorga a los cuerpos subalternos un lugar y un discurso que desbordan lo visual. El discripresente trabajo se propone estudiar las modalidades de esa nueva figuración de la subjetividad que otorga al otro, al subalterno, una identidad autorial.
