أكدت الدراسات الأثرية وجود أقدم ورشة لصناعة الفخار في بوتو / تلالفراعين في العصر اليوناني الروماني. وقد ثبت هذا من خلال وجود أفرانالفخار البطلمي ومن مستويات النشاط في ورشة العمل نفسها في قطاعتُؤرخ الدراسات الأولية مواد الفخار المكتشفة في هذا .P التنقيب رقم 20الموقع بنهاية القرن الثالث وبداية القرن الثاني قبل الميلاد.قامت البعثة الفرنسية العاملة في بوتو برئاسة باسكال باليه منذ عام 2001بتركيز أبحاثها على العصور المتأخرة بالموقع. وتُخصص الجوانب الرئيسية منهذه الأبحاث لتناول التطور الحضري مع التركيز على ورش صناعة الفخاروالمناطق المحيطة بها وإنتاجها من الفخار. وفيما يتعلق بالموضوع الأخيرفي ورشة .P يقدم التقرير التالي لمحة أولية عن الفخار المنتج في القطاع 20الفخار البطلمي في بوتو / تل الفراعين. ويركز التقرير على المواد غير المحروقةونظيراتها المحروقة على حد سواء.ثم يركز على عرض ،P يقدم هذا المقال نبذة مختصرة عن القطاع 20تشمل .F بيانات الفخار التي تم جمعها بشكل رئيسي من داخل الفرن 10المجموعة أواني ينتمي معظمها إلى أدوات المائدة وأدوات الطهي والأدواتمن الاكتشافات الرائعة، فهو يؤكد على الإنتاج F الشائعة. ويُعد الفرن 10المتميز للفخار في هذه الورشة والدراية التقنية في ذلك العصر كما يتضح منوجود نظام تهوية داخلي مدمج لتوصيل الأكسجين إلى قلب غرفة الحرق.

Archaeological investigations confirmed the oldest pottery workshop in Buto/Tell el-Fara’in during the Graeco-Roman Period. This is proven by the presence of Ptolemaic pottery kilns and levels of activity from the workshop itself in the excavation sector P20. Preliminary investigations date the ceramic material of this context to the end of the 3rd/beginning of the 2nd century BC. The French Mission of Buto, under the directionof Pascale Ballet, has been focusing its research on the later periods of the site since 2001. The main aspectsof this research are devoted to urban development with emphasis on the pottery workshops, their surroundings and their ceramic production. With regards to the latter, the following report gives a first overview of the pottery produced in sector P20 of the Buto/Tell el-Fara’in Ptolemaic workshop. It focuseson both the unfired material and its fired counterparts.This article will briefly introduce sector P20 and will then focus on the presentation of the collected ceramic data, primarily from the interior of kiln F10. The corpus contains vessels mostly belonging to the Table Ware, Cooking Ware and Common Ware. Kiln F10 is a remarkable find, affirming the workshop’s characteristic ceramic production and the technical knowledge of this period, as demonstrated by the presence of a built interior ventilation system to deliver oxygen to the heart of the heating chamber
