The Anna Stubblefied case, in which a university professor had sexual intercourse with a young black disabled man, raises the issue of consent for people unable to speak, of the conflict between care and capacities and of the link between intentions and mechanisms of domination. Unlike the legal approach, suspending judgment makes us aware of what remains hidden by consent.
