The purpose of this article is to understand the influence of the presence of a pet on organizational commitment and stress perceived by employees in their company. Using a broad theoretical base integrating the contributions of management science as well as psychology, this exploratory work underlines that pets can have an effect on the organizational commitment and stress of some members of staff, also performing a role of social facilitator in the company.
