Résumé
Based on the observation that the term “anti-system” circulates in the media and academic spheres without being the subject of a precise conceptualization, this article proposes a few avenues for de-constructing this vague and difficult-to-grasp term. The first step is to identify the various definitions of “anti-system” and the studies that have been dedicated to it, based on a semantic, etymological, and scientific investigation of the term. This is followed by a detailed analysis of its use in the French national press, revealing the diversity and characteristics of those who claim to be or are described as “anti-system.”
