S’inscrivant dans le champ des Infrastructure Studies initié par la sociologue des sciences et des techniques Susan Leigh Star, l’article propose d’entrer dans les coulisses d’une infrastructure spécifique, une biobanque hospitalière, et de suivre gestes à gestes le travail de ses agents opérationnels, assistants médicaux et techniciens de laboratoire. Il propose ce faisant et dans un premier temps une mise à l’épreuve de la notion de care telle que théorisée par la philosophe Maria Puig de la Bellacasa à la suite des travaux de Bruno Latour et de sa notion de matters of concern. La spécificité de cette notion (care) étant d’interroger notre responsabilité face au devenir de la « chose » que nous étudions (qui est aussi la chose que nous construisons et que nous habitons), l’article propose dès lors d’initier dans un second temps un « style » d’enquête et de compte rendu d’enquête alternatif (alternatif en tant qu’altération du modèle classique), portant un care de forme symétrique à celui qu’ont manifesté ses enquêtés.

As part of the field of research of so-called “infrastructure studies” established by the science and technology sociologist Susan Leigh Star, this paper proposes to penetrate behind the scenes of a specific infrastructure, a hospital-based biobank, and to follow step by step the work of its operational agents, medical assistants, and laboratory technicians. In doing so, and as a first step, it aims to challenge the notion of care as theorized by the philosopher Maria Puig de la Bellacasa, following the work of Bruno Latour and his notion of “matters of concern”. The specificity of this notion (care) is to question our responsibility for the future of the “thing” we study (which is also the “thing” we construct and inhabit). This paper thus proposes to establish, in a second step, an alternative “style” of investigating and reporting (alternative in that it is an alteration of the classical model), which aims to convey care that is symmetrical to that expressed by its informants.

En línea con el campo de los Infrastructure Studies iniciado por Susan Leigh Star, el artículo propone mirar detrás de la escana de una infraestructura específica, un biobanco hospitalario y seguir el trabajo de sus agentes operativos, asistentes de salud y técnicos de laboratorio. Al hacerlo, propone en primer lugar una prueba de la noción de cuidado, teorizada por la filósofa Maria Puig de la Bellacasa siguiendo la obra de Bruno Latour y su concepto de matters of concern. La especificidad de esta noción (cuidado) siendo la de cuestionar nuestra responsabilidad ante el futuro de la “cosa” que estudiamos (que es también la “cosa” que construimos y en la que vivimos), el artículo propone iniciar en segundo lugar un “estilo” de investigación e un informe alternativo de investigación (alternativo en el sentido de alteración del modelo clásico), llevando una forma simétrica de cuidado a la que manifestaron los encuestados.
