Résumé 0

This article presents the new issues facing historians working on memory in the 21st century, in an institutional context that has become unfavorable. Memory itself has become a “natural” framework for policy action, socio-cultural practices and the unsderstanding of the present. It therefore seems necessary to question the role of historians as well as the category of “traumatic event” in the analysis of the biopolitics of memory supposed to heal a tested society and to prevent the return of catastrophes.
