“2A Firme” is a Tunisian family SME specializing in the manufacture of various pieces of clothing for men, women and children on behalf of several major international brands. The company has undergone several moments of strategic growth and diversification that have followed movements in its governance structure. This case study highlights the value and contribution of a board of directors to the growth dynamic of a company that was initially created by two brothers-in-law. The case also discusses the company’s growth crises, particularly through a dual family transmission, and the role played by the board of directors in resolving these crises.
