A new and original medlar community is described in the French Jura. It is characterized by Mespilus germanica, Polypodium vulgare, Lonicera periclymenum, Ilex aquifolium and can be classified temporarily, in the Lonicerion periclymeni Géhu, B. Foucault & Delelis 1983, belonging to the Crataego monogynae-Prunetea spinosae Tüxen 1962. Because no equivalent association were found in the continental domain, the chorology of this new community was sharply discussed, especially in a historical ecology perspective.

Un groupement végétal original composé de néfliers (Mespilus germanica L., Rosaceae) a été décrit dans le Jura français. Ce nouveau groupement est rattaché, de manière provisoire, au Lonicerion periclymeni Géhu, B. Foucault & Delelis 1983, des Crataego monogynae-Prunetea spinosae Tüxen 1962. Groupement original pour le domaine continental, la question du déterminisme écologique et chorologique a été traitée. La description de ce nouveau groupement permet d’apporter une contribution originale à la biogéographie du néflier en Europe.
