Ein Mitteleuropäer auf Wanderschaft : Gregor von Rezzoris Autobiographie Mir auf der Spur im mitteleuropäischen Kontext

In diesem Beitrag wird versucht, Gregor von Rezzori, so wie er sich in seiner Autobiographie selbst darstellt, in einen mitteleuropäischen Kontext zu stellen. Nach einer kurzen theoretischen Einleitung zum Problem „Mitteleuropa“ werden vor allen die Theorien und Gedanken von Milan Kundera, György Konrad und Danilo Kiš herangezogen und mit jenen Gregor von Rezzoris konfrontiert. In einem zweiten Teil werden dann auf besondere Ausdrucksmittel (Hang zum Absurden und Grotesken, Mimikry und Spiel mit der Sprache) des mitteleuropäischen Raumes mit jenen Rezzoris, dem „Epochenverschlepper“ und „Spurensucher“ an einigen Beispielen dargestellt.

In this paper, I would like to confront Gregor von Rezzori and the way he is presenting himself in his autobiography with the middleuropean context. After a short theoretical introduction about the problem of Middleeurope, mainly the ideas of Milan Kundera, Gyögy Konrad and Danilo Kiš are confronted with those of Gregor von Rezzori. In a second part I elaborate some special forms of expression, typicall for this middleuropean area and confront them with examples of Gregor von Rezzoris' texts.

Cet article cherche à replacer Gregor von Rezzori, tel qu’il se présente lui-même dans son autobiographie, dans le contexte culturel de la Mitteleuropa. Après une courte introduction théorique sur le problème de la Mitteleuropa, on confronte en particulier les idées principales de Milan Kundera, de György Konrad et de Danila Kiš avec celles de Gregor von Rezzori. Dans une deuxième partie, les moyens d’expression typiques de cet espace culturel (le penchant pour l’absurde, le grotesque, le jeu avec la langue...) sont comparés avec ceux de Gregor von Rezzori.
