Résumé
In the current context which tends to raise boundaries between "us" and "them", how can we escape the perimeter of xenophobic thinking? By relying on little-known texts by Sartre, we endeavor to show that if Europe is not the space of a culture lived and anchored in its ideals of freedom, equality, solidarity, justice and truth, then Europe is nothing more than a museum for tourists. In a world of hunger and vital emergencies, no economic success can replace the demand for an ethical sense in the native land of freedom and truth, freedom to seek truth, and truth to preserve freedom.
