Ingrid Dias et al., « Efeito das Diferentes Fases do Ciclo Menstrual em um Teste de 10 RM », Fitness & Performance Journal, ID : 10670/1.2a4fda...
The literature refers to the decurrent endocriny oscillations of the menstrual cycle, which can affect the performance during the practice of exercises. OBJECTIVE: To verify the effect of the different phases of menstrual cycle on force performance in a test of 10 maximum repetitions (10RM). METHODS: It had been evaluated 8 trained women (22,7 + 1,2 years old; 57,2 + 6,99 kg and 158,5 + 4,96 cm), using at least three months regular oral contraceptive. The maximum force was evaluated through the 10RM test. The devices used for collection of data were Leg press and Pulled by the front in pulley, BUICK mark. For statistics analysis, it was used the ANOVA for repeated measures with verification of Tuckey post-hoc to compare maximum loads obtained in the different phases of the menstrual cycle. RESULTS: In the pulled one for the front in pulley, significant differences (p=0,472) in the force had not been verified when compared the three phases of the menstrual cycle.Concerning the leg Press, we observe variations without significant differences in loads interphases (p=0,292), mainly between the first and the third measure, that is, either follicular or lutheal phase. CONCLUSION: The present study reports not to have significant variations in the maximum muscular force during the distinct phases of the menstrual cycle.
