Les changements socio-économiques contemporains ont modifié certaines représentations, certains idéaux soutenus par le «discours de l’ensemble», singulièrement ceux de la relation à l’objet, de l’investissement d’objet et de sa durée, de son sens. Ces modifications touchent donc à l’économie libidinale et à ses figurations culturelles, imaginaires et symboliques. Un questionnement s’ouvre ainsi sur les risques d’un processus de désymbolisation, les cliniques contemporaines, entre manie et mélancolie, l’amour de transfert et la pratique analytique.
