Résumé 0

The North American indigenous populations suffer from chronic poverty, low levels of education and skills, and are the victims of the reservation land tenure system that has disrupted their way of life. After being made dependent by direct economic assistance from the outside, Amerindians have launched a second wave of community development in an effort to improve their lot through entrepreneurial undertakings while respecting and preserving their traditional values. This chapter shows there is a specific and original form of North American indigenous entrepreneurship.
