Born in the dense urban metropolitan environment over a decade ago, third places have since spread throughout the country, reaching out to periurban areas and rural centers. What's the logic behind these trends? The LISST-CIEU team at CNRS Toulouse is exploring the geography of third places and the reasons of their establishment. The areas of this study are those covered by the VILAGIL program.
