Résumé 0

Since 2019, new work carried out as part of the PCR HaGAL - Habitat Groupé Antique de la Cité des Lémovices (dir. F. Baret) aims to take up in depth, and globally, the study of the roman small town of Bridiers (La Souterraine, Creuse). These began with the realization of a ground penetrating radar survey on a meadow of approximately 1 ha revealing a dense and novel residential area structured by three axes. The results obtained offer for the first time the possibility to realize a draft plan of the settlement. Following this first operation (which however follows two fieldwalking campaigns and a LiDAR survey), an exploratory excavation campaign was carried out in 2020 on one of the buildings highlighted. These unpublished data, which it is, moreover, interesting to compare, appreciably renews knowledge on an important small town of the Lemovici civitas. This contribution aims by the presentation of the results, of the two operations, to underline the interest of crossing the different types of operation and the scales of data acquisition to study in detail a roman small town within the framework of the development of new research.
