La critique féministe de la technique dans l’espace germanophone : un aperçu

Feminist Study scholars in the United-States have given serious attention to the issues related to technique over the last three decades, a topic which is not of much interest to their French counterparts. As for German scholars, their work is irreducible to any of these two opposite positions. The reflection exists, simply, in its own way. This article proposes to expose a few markers of the feminist critique of technique in Germany, assuming as a guideline a search for the reasons of its specificity. We will discuss the institutional aspects related to the introduction of this issue in Germany, a few topics and debates now recognized as foundational, and some more contemporary work of significance. These different explorations are also occasions to analyze both the influence of American production and the legacy of German philosophy that appear in this critical literature.

Alors que la technique est un objet d’analyse que les études féministes aux États-Unis se sont largement approprié, alors qu’elle est, à l’inverse, quasiment ignorée par le féminisme en France, l’état de la réflexion en Allemagne n’est réductible à aucune de ces deux positions opposées. Elle existe, à sa manière. Cet article se propose avant tout de donner quelques repères quant à la critique féministe de la technique en Allemagne, en prenant pour fil conducteur la recherche des raisons de sa spécificité. Y sont abordés les aspects institutionnels de l’implantation du questionnement en Allemagne, quelques thèmes et débats qui ont fait date et des travaux plus contemporains : autant d’occasions de mesurer l’influence de la production anglophone et l’héritage philosophique allemand sur la technique.
