The article aims to grasp the status and implications of cosmological statements called «anthropic». Having shown that these statements are not «principles», we sketch the role they can play in the philosophy of nature or in the theology of creation in a revisited approach to the notion of finality (transl. by J. Dudley).

L’article vise à cerner le statut et la portée des énoncés cosmologiques dits «anthropiques». Après avoir montré que ces énoncés ne sont pas des «principes», nous esquissons le rôle qu’ils peuvent jouer en philosophie de la nature ou en théologie de la création, dans une approche revisitée de la notion de finalité.
