This case study focuses on the international marketing policy of the Zara brand (Inditex group). Thanks to its specific business model, the fast-moving fashion, the group has become a leading player on the global clothing market. Today, Zara sells its products in 88 countries and is seeking new growth opportunities in emerging markets. In a highly competitive environment, the company reconsiders the main lines of its international marketing policy. The student is asked to analyse the internationalisation strategy of the group, propose an international marketing policy and assess the interest of selling Zara collections online. This case-study is the updated version of the case M1705 (GB) “Zara: The international success of fast-moving fashion”.

Cette étude de cas porte sur la politique de marketing international de la marque Zara (groupe Inditex). La création d'un nouveau business model, la fast-moving fashion, a permis au groupe de devenir le leader sur le marché mondial de l'habillement. Aujourd'hui, Zara commercialise ses produits dans 88 pays et cherche de nouveaux relais de croissance dans les marchés émergents. Dans un contexte concurrentiel difficile, l’entreprise s'interroge sur les lignes directrices de sa politique de marketing international. Il est demandé à l'apprenant d'analyser la stratégie d'internationalisation du groupe, de proposer une politique de marketing international et d'évaluer l'intérêt de la commercialisation en ligne de la marque Zara. Cette étude de cas est la réactualisation du cas M1705 « Zara : Le succès international de la fast-moving fashion ».
