Because it determines the elaboration of meaning from linguistic forms, the construction of sermons implements both syntax, the choice of lexicon, certain morphological regularities but also semantic coherence in the broad sense. The predicative construction presents characteristics specific to the spoken language and to the written language. Even if the grammar of oral and that of writing are largely the same (Cappeau, 2018; Ibrahim, 2014), the predicative organization that a speaker adopts to tell a story is realized differently depending on whether the story is produced orally or in writing (Koch and Oesterreicher, 2001; Berrendonner, 2004). Parce qu’elle détermine l’élaboration du sens à partir des formes linguistiques, la construction des prédications met en œuvre à la fois la syntaxe, le choix du lexique, certaines régularités morphologiques mais également la cohérence sémantique au sens large. La construction prédicative présente des caractéristiques propres à la langue parlée et à la langue écrite. Même si la grammaire de l’oral et celle de l’écrit sont en grande partie les mêmes (Cappeau, 2018 ; Ibrahim, 2014), l’organisation prédicative qu’adopte un locuteur pour raconter une histoire se réalise différemment selon que le récit est produit à l’oral ou à l’écrit (Koch et Oesterreicher, 2001 ; Berrendonner, 2004). Cette journée scientifique a pour objectif de mettre en perspective la comparaison oral/écrit du point de vue de leur construction prédicative et d’envisager de nouvelles pistes pédagogiques, en langue maternelle, seconde ou étrangère (Barré-de Miniac, 2000 ; Dormoy, 2004).
