Jean Adam et al., « “Language does not pass through itself as a neutral and transparent medium. It resists, forms and textually distorts meaning.” : Interview with Jean-Michel Adam conducted by Stéphanie Pahud », Mots. Les langages du politique, ID : 10670/1.3bc6e1...
The linguist Jean-Michel Adam is questioned by Stéphanie Pahud about the peculiarities of his conception of text linguistics and its situation in the field of discourse analysis. The interview looks back at the birth and evolution of this discipline and then at a certain number of notions that it makes it possible to problematize, including those of text, discursive formations and discursive and textual genres. It addresses the place of textual analysis in the space of political discourse research. It also develops the links between text linguistics and other disciplinary fields, including comparative literature and translation.
