The Russian suffix -ovat- is presented as a referential and notional marker of the implicit operations established on the conceptual level. As the referential marker, the suffix constructs a relationship between the single occurrence povat and the referential value p. As the notional marker, the suffix's function consists in localization of povat on the notional domain and in the construction of the opposition between both values. The evaluative opposition appears when the adjectives povat are formed from the qualifying adjectives and it corresponds to the expression of diminution and indeterminacy values. The notional opposition appears when the adjectives povat are formed from the substantives and it corresponds to the metaphorical characterization to the state of the world. The notional opposition coexists with the evaluative opposition - " p/non-p " et " p/povat " are introduced at the same time.

Le suffixe -ovat- est envisagé du point de vue de son fonctionnement à la fois comme connecteur et comme marqueur des opérations dans le plan notionnel. En tant que connecteur, le suffixe atteste de l'existence d'une relation de repérage entre l'occurrence povat et sa valeur de référence p. En tant que marqueur des opérations dans le plan de la notion il localise l'occurrence ponctuelle povat dans le domaine notionnel et induit la construction d'une altérité. L'altérité appréciative caractérise la structure sémantique des adjectifs povat dérivés à partir de la base d'un adjectif qualificatif et correspond à l'expression des valeurs de diminution ou d'indétermination. L'altérité notionnelle caractérise la structure sémantique des adjectifs povat dérivés à partir d'une base nominale et correspond à la caractérisation du monde par association d'idée.
